A Japanese company that specializes in graphics tablets and related products.
About the project
The company reached out to organizations in Israel in search for innovative ideas that will assist them in breaking into new markets using their existing technologies. The process was made up of two parts: (1) Step-In-The-Door – getting to know the market. We held a hackathon to “test the waters” and get a taste of the kind of ideas that can come out of the existing technologies. (2) Investment and an acceleration program. Today they are investing in companies and have opened their own acceleration program in Israel.
Period:
Six months
Our task was:
The objective was to find new channels and markets for the implementation of the company products and even the development of new products from existing knowledge in the organization
The Process:
As part of the process, the company first wanted to test the waters in the Israeli market so the initial step was to get to know the Israeli market quickly, and in a non-expensive way – so we held a two-day hackathon. Leveraging the results of this hackathon was important for the later stages. The next step was to develop a scouting process for companies relevant to the organization and its products and initiating cooperative work between them (the objective here was to examine existing companies and develop work processes with them that are valuable to both parties involved). The third stage was building an acceleration program for the company in Israel that provides professional guidance and development assistance for Israeli ventures in the organization market.
The Result:
Two ideas from the initial hackathon continued communications with the company, were sent by her to the CES competition and also won first place. Today, these ideas are in the process of entering the med-tech market of the company. As part of the scouting process, 8 relevant companies were identified and are currently developing cooperative work processes on products and 3 of them received funding from the organization.
